Project Manager (Elevators) | Global Business Bridge (pvt) Ltd, Lahore

 Project managers ensure the project is completed on time and within budget, that the project’s objectives are met and that everyone else is doing their job properly. Projects entail usual day-to-day business activities and require a group of people to work together to achieve a set of specific objectives. Project managers oversee the project to ensure the desired result is achieved. The most efficient resources are used and the different interests involved are satisfied. Regular duties include coordinating with consultants, contractors, staff, and tenants. Leading meetings to facilitate project updates, communication, and action items. Updating facility improvement projects and attending bi-weekly and monthly meetings. Communicates diplomatically on a routine basis with elected and appointed officials.

Responsibilities

  • Gathers and assembles the required information to develop the scope and specifications for the solicitation of bids for the elevator service contract
  • Manages the daily business of the elevator service contract
  • Prioritizes daily tasks and works on multiple tasks within time constraints provided
  • Communicates effectively with consultants, engineers, contractors, Engineering department personnel, and the Harris County Sheriff's Office while establishing cooperative relationships
  • Thoroughly reports information, establishes schedules, and completes projects on time
  • Conducts monthly meetings to oversee elevator modernization and repair projects, and ensures the scope of work, invoices, proposals, and change orders from the elevator contractor comply with the modernization specifications and repair proposal
  • Proactively identifies and addresses scheduling, budget, and performance issues with the elevator contractor and resolves problems before impacting project expectations
  • Maintains files and records, prepares reports, contract drafts, changes, renewals, and amendments for group presentations
  • Coordinates elevator inspections, evaluates reports of any elevator violations, and initiates the appropriate response to correct violations
  • Acts as a liaison between tenants and contracted service providers
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelors/ Masters Degree in Mechanical/ Electrical Engineering
  • 5 - 10 years of work experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel
  • Strong organizational skills in maintaining records and files
  • Possess proficient English oral and written communication and presentation skills
